What is Crushed Granite?

Open graded crushed granite is the ideal stone for a variety of projects such as septic systems, road base, dry wells, and stormwater management. Our crushed granite is NJ DOT and NYS DOT approved.

Materials Usage

2 1/2″ Crushed Granite

NJ DOT #2 crushed granite is used for driveway gravel, walkways, drainage solutions, septic systems, road base, stormwater management systems, dry wells and as entrances and exits of construction sites, also known as a tracking pad.

1 1/2″ Crushed Granite

NJ DOT #3 crushed granite is used for driveway gravel, walkways, drainage solutions, septic systems, dry wells, road base, and ballast for railroad tracks. Used in construction as an aggregate either with or without a binder.

3/4″ Crushed Granite

Used for construction purposes, mainly as aggregate with or without a binder. Road base or road surfacing material is the major uses without a binder.

3/4″ crushed granite is also known as 3/4″ clean.

3/8″ Crushed Granite

NJ DOT #8 crushed stone is used for construction purposes, such as parking areas, septic drain fields, bike trails, walkways and roofing stone.

1/4″ Crushed Granite

NJ DOT #10 is used for construction purposes such as paving stones, bicycle trails, underdrain construction, parking areas, landscaping, racetrack mix, and walkways.
