Job Description
FLSA Classification:
Overtime Status: Non- Exempt
Braen Stone Industries, the leading supplier of construction materials including stone, sand, asphalt, septic materials, recycled materials and agricultural limestone, is currently seeking an Electrician to work on the 2nd shift in our Sparta, NJ location.
Expectations/ Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day electrical repairs
- Identify electrical issues with full cycle resolution
- Accountable for all electrical installations
- Inspect electrical components to anticipate upgrades, repairs or replacement
- Respond to all service repairs emergent and non-emergent
- Ensure all facility electrical systems are running safely and efficiently
- Required to follow all Company and MSHA safety regulations
- Required to possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to operate manlift and work from occasional heights.
- Working environment will be both indoors and outdoors
- Maintain appropriate service and repair records
- Inspect work area and complete daily inspection check sheets
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical distribution systems
Required Knowledge/Skills/Aptitudes:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industrial experience
- 480V 3 Phase experience required
- Basic PLC knowledge and theory
- Ability to work well with others yet work independently as well
- Knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment and systems used in the electrical trade
- Demonstrate a productive job performance with safety in mind
- Ability to work with minimal direction and initiate problem-solving skills
- Full compliance of MSHA regulations required
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position based in Sparta, NJ however travel for associated work-related tasks are expected for all Braen locations
- Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 2pm to 12am; Saturday work will also be required dependent on the demand of the business. Overtime is paid after forty (40) hours are worked weekly
- Routine exposure to noise, dust and all-weather terrain
- Braen will provide all necessary protective gear (safety glasses, gloves, hard hats)
