1930s-1960s

This has been the Braen family motto for five generations. Our commitment to customers and their jobs have helped build our reputation as one of the most trusted partners in the construction industry. Braen Stone wouldn’t be where we are today without the hard work and dedication of our family and employees.
2019 was a milestone year! We celebrated 115 years in business, announced our corporate Vision and Values, and published a book about our storied history. By popular demand, the book is now available for purchase.
We believe doing good for others is the best reason to be in the business. Our success is the result of careful calculation and resource management, but more importantly, it reflects the values our founder instilled into our culture almost 120 years ago.
We are committed to being a good neighbor. To us, that means caring for the communities that host our quarries and supporting our employees who work hard every day. Giving back to the community goes hand-in-hand with meeting the needs of others and helps strengthen the sense of family and community. We provide scholarships, give toward mission programs, and support the local Boy Scout troop.
Having survived setbacks and crises, generational changes and shifting markets, Braen Stone has a family legacy and rich history worth celebrating. We treat everyone with respect and provide a safe environment for all.
Since 1904, contractors all across northern New Jersey have come to count on Braen Stone. From building highways to driveways, bridges to tunnels, the Braen team makes sure every customer has what they need to get the job done right.
